Hello Ladies. I am new here and was hesitant to post but I am considering having liposuction and a tuck. I always hear about someone who knows someone who went to Thailand for this as the Dr.'s are good and the price is low. I would really appreciate to hear from anyone who actually went and had the procedures themselves or if they know of someone firsthand who has. It is an awkward first post but I am hoping for feedback. Thanks and have a nice day

My very silly neice had facial implants done in thailand that left he looking like alvin and the chipmunks - all of them! She doesn't live in Dubai, does she? I know someone who looks like that! Name starts with M. Why do people want facial implants? Thats just weird.

My Mom had a face and eyelift (maybe neck, too - not sure) done at Bumrungrad in Bangkok. She looks great, had no issues, and is very happy. My Dad figures that it's the best money he ever spent, since it did so much for her self-esteem. They have no qualms about recommending the hospital. They travelled from Mexico to get it done (are actually Canadian) and spent about 2 months there, I think (only 3 weeks for surgery + recovery, the rest was vacation).

I had surgery done in uk 7 yrs ago and to go for a consultation and speak to your surgeon directly is a MUST. You would have to travel over there beforehand to have your bloods taken and checked (i went 2 weeks before my op)Not to put a damper on your upcoming surgery but if you do have problems after your op it may work out more costly to have to return to Thailand to sort them out. I know a few surgeons in uk who hate having to deal with all the botched jobs that people encounter for the sake of saving a few quid travelling abroad to get cheaper ops done. . Personally I would give my money to the most expensive surgeon that I could afford....good luck :) *like*

definitely cheaper, and if you have a look at the medical personal's credentials, they're all above board. i have checked the dr that i'm interested in & then cross-referenced her credentials with the american board of plastic surgeons - all legit. i contacted the hospital for a consultation. they were prompt in their response - asked me to send photos, which i was not very comfortable with - BUT it was because i said i cant come for a consult & requested a quote via email LOL but they were very professional allround i havent gone through with the surgery (yet) because i'm such a wuss :D

this hospital has a very good reputation http://www.bumrungrad.com/ Thank you!!! I have heard of a few prominent Saudi's who went there for full checkups and stomache "bands" but never lipo. Hopefully I can google the staff credentials. Apparently with flight, stay, and procedure it still comes out less?!
