its just pure envy from them. They cant dress like this so they get personal. When I worked for the government, before I started wearing Abaya, I used to go into the office wearing black trousers and a shirt for instance. I was called every name under the sun by some of the local women. I even got a complaint raised against me because I was sat at my desk one day and my bra strap fell down (under my shirt) I pulled it up and that was that. I was told that I offended one of the local women. I has complaints raised because once I sat down and a little of my back was showing, got a complaint because my THICK white shirt was too seethru and you could see the outline of my bra. This is only the beginning of it. I was called a wh**e too. My boss told me to start wearing abaya as he was so angry with their comments. it didnt help, I was just abused for wearing that. Was told I had no right to wear it. So you see, you cant win either way, its just pure jealousy and envy I dont agree with some of these women who I see dressed as complete tarts but it is acceptable to wear a skirt AND to look and feel good when you go out.

A liberal dose of common sense should have told her that no matter how good she thought she looked, it was going to be unacceptable. Does anyone look out the window and think about where you are?

My office is within the grounds of a government college and regularly meet with expats in the marketing and publications industry. I have to warn ladies that they must cover their legs (at least to below the knee) and upper arms before coming to my office, they are shocked, don't believe me and often turned away at the gate!;)
