what size are you looking for? Sorry to ask but some calls 18 "big" , and for some it is 32! The up to 20 range is available everywhere. Up to 24 you can try Punta Roma and a few more. Above that it is very limited choices... Ordering from USA is the best.

Do you have an Aramex account? If so, I would suggest browsing Amazon, there are a plethora of plus sized ball gowns available online, you could have it within days via Aramex Have to second this one! There are some really beautiful gowns and amazing selection in the US (and believe it or not, it can often times be cheaper than here including the shipping costs!) Nordstrom.com has a beautiful selection of plus-size evening dresses. Macys.com is pretty good, too. Of course, returns can be tricky but the reviews are helpful in sizing and I have had amazing (and consistent) luck with my purchases there.

Depending on the size and style monsoon go up to a size 22. You would probably be better getting something made, dont leave it too late though as It may take 3-4 weeks if the tailors are busy.

Thanks for the tips. I have looked in Debenhams, Even, New Look but nothing suitable and nothing took my fancy. I know the shop in Lamcy you mean but didnt realize they did pus sizes so will try them. Also Oasis at Wafi is not one i have looked at I am trying to avoid a tailor but think i may have to go that way - Dream Girls is on the top of my list Thanks all

There is a lady in Lamcy Plaza that sells Ball Gowns and evening wear for plus sizes. I got a fab outfit from her. I believe she is on the second or third floor somewhere near the back on the left hand side but she is definately there! I always end up walking around for ages before I come across her stall. Lots of blinged out dresses, silks, satins and were all very reasonably priced. She also has a dressmaker so if the dresses need altering at all she will ensure this is done for you as long as there is enough time. *like*

I got an evening dress from Ulla Popken and won the best dress for it ;) The shops are located in Mirdif City Centre,Al Barsha Mall, The Dubai Mall and Marina Mall.(+971) 4 284 3910 Hope that helps!

Been recommended Oasis at Wafi in the past, Monsoon usually have bigger sizes too. Debenhams have found to be bit hit n miss with sizes though have reasonable selection of dresses.
