Police Cases & Cancelling Visas

Where to start!

My boss is helping a lady out in her community sort her financials she has 4 police cases against her for loans and credit cards that she took out to pay for her mothers medical bills back in 2007. She was made redundant in 2008 and stopped paying back the money, she did find another job albeit for a considerable cut in pay. Anyway to cut a long story short, we are talking to the banks concerned to reach a settlement figure, she has since found a good new job, but is it possible for her current employers to cancel her resident visa whilst she still has these police cases against her?

If it is, will her new employer be able to get her new visa.

We are hoping that we can sort this before she starts her new position. Advice as always greatly appreciated :)

Tough one, and sorry I don't really know an answer but what I think has to happen is she has to have the police clear her police cases before she can transfer as any activity at immigration may result in her being detained. Since she has been offered a good job, maybe she could take the letter of offer for the new job to the bank/s and show them it and explain she needs to transfer her visa but can't with a police case, but show them how she is more able to pay?
