I enquired about this to the hotel concierge at the beginning of the year and got the following reply... From: Chief Concierge [mailto:[email protected]'> Sent: 03 January 2011 22:34 I would like to inform you that we can arrange both the services. The helicopter rate would roughly cost AED 50,000 per way from Dubai (maximum 6 people). One SUV 4x4 Audi Q7 would cost AED 1400 + 16% Service and Tourism Charge. And one normal sized car (Audi A6) would cost AED 840 + 16% Tourism and Service Charge Please advise on size of luggage. 4 people with luggage may require an SUV. But still, please advise. Thank you, Ashraf

Yes you can go by helicopter, about 45 mins from Dubai. There where 15 helicopters in the car park when we visited. most belonging to the royal family.... but yup...is possible to helicopter out here. theres no service that I know of, but maybe the hotel itself can set you up? Otherwise, charter.

I'm looking at this hotel and wondering if its possible to get a helicopter ride to it? I know you can get the plane to Anantara Desert Resort but my friend said this was a far better location but I just don't like the thought of driving 3 hours for just a 4 day stay! Any suggestions about transportation? Thanks!
