Just got my phone this week and the battery seems to
be working o/time. I charge it and within 1/2 hr I seem
to lose about 25-30% and that's not even using the phone.
Is this the norm, can any of you shed some light on this
and please feel free to advise on how to preserve battery.
I have turned the "vibrate" option off as I was told by one
of the chaps at Etisilat that this can sometimes use up
the battery fast.

TIA

OK thanks, have adjusted accordingly & now hope that works. So G3 is more of an optional choice & not necessary for mail & calls.... i have yet so much to learn. edited by KCQ on 07/02/2011

Turn off 3G unless you really need it. Settings - General - Network. Otherwise you may have an app that is draining the battery - any chat, GPS, navigation apps running? You can close apps by double pressing the home button and then press and hold the app icon then press the red button that appears. I also get around a day and a half on one full charge.

Mine lasts about a day and a half I'd say. I tend to charge it daily as it's handy to just plug it at the computer. I think wi-Fi also uses battery a lot
