We are moving to our villa in Sahheel – 3 BR villa (I think type 9)
And now in the process of decorating and furnishing it etc. I am going through huge mental doubt right now – in terms of rooms specification on the ground level. We have one small room beside kitchen and a big room-hall separated by middle wall with fire place. The plan is to put big guest-dining table right in the room beside the stairs and then to make big official leaving room beside the fire place (closer to the windows to the garden). Then the dilemma is – shall we do two living rooms – one beside kitchen and one big one which will be for guests or shall we just utilize the big space of official living room and make it as a family living room (with tv and comfy couches rather than presentable sofa set for guests), but then in this case what shall we do in the small room beside kitchen?

Very confused – please share your rooms-separation if you live in AR (saheel 3 br villa) – any advices are welcome! -)

great to hear! Thanks a lot! But do you have one more TV in the official living room too or only couches and table? Don't you feel bad for not using so much the fire-place-room (unless the guests are visiting)? edited by Lexie on 17/04/2011

Our friends have that type and they have the dining room as you suggested with a really nice couch and coffee table by the fireplace. They have a comfy couch, kids play things and a TV in the room by the kitchen and that is the door they use to get out into the garden. It works really well. We have the type 7 (i think) and habe the extra bit by the kitchen as an informal dining room/family room with kids toys and TV and then the formal dining table and couches nice and tidy next door :)
