Can we stay in 1 room/suite in a hotel in dxb with a 4 year old and a 3month old? Or will they make you book 2 rooms?

Thanx for all the info, these hotels are cheeky with sneaky extra charges I know... Anyway have decided it's far too much of a pain so I will wait until lo is a bit older then we will plan the mission, that's a weekend away with everything but the kitchen sink ;)

oh, and SOME hotels will try and charge you for the extra bed, or cot for baby when you get there...just when you book make sure that it's for the 4 of you, particularly when doing so online and you'll be fine. sorry, but why shouldn't they ? we have never been charged for a child's bed and I would be furious if they tried to Me either and me too! And usually, I ask them to set up a cot in the room too. Most of the nicer hotels have baby cots that they let guests use for free. If we have booked, pre paid on line for the 3 of us for 3 beds and 3 breakfasts, then arriving at the said hotel to find not only no bed set up waiting and them trying to charge you extra for it is not on, particularly at the 'nicer' hotels. It's what we've already paid for, no? No you're right - if you hve booked for 3 with 3 beds and 3 breakfasts you are absolutely right to refuse to pay. surely that's when you produce your confirmation and all is sorted. When booking for more than 2 kids you will find extra charges with certain hotels - it is clear and it shouldn't be a surprise as the booking can't be made without adding in the extras anyway. exactly, confirmation and all is good. It's just that some hotels will and do try things on, even if you have confirmation and know about the terms and conditions....it was just a little warning to the OP to be aware of so theres no sticky situations on arrival is all. It's happened to us more than once, so bought it up for her attention.

Yes of course if they try to charge you again when you arrive then that's not right..

We never had a problem when we had 2 (older child and infant) Would have the pull out bed for one and rather than have a cot (often there isn't the room) the LO would sleep in the pramette.

But.....it will be on their terms and conditions - we just book the 1 bed as our little girl likes to sleep in hotel wardrobes!!!!!!!! and I promise you I am not kidding!!!!!!! She spends ages building herself a little nest like arrangement with cushions and towels and will NOT sleep in a hotel bed!!!!!! It's the funniest thing I've ever seen and the look on housekeeping when I have to explain that they must not touch the nest in the wardrobe is superb! I dread the day she grows up and decides that a bed in a hotel is fine...!!!!! Claire! Thank god our lil miss is not the only one! Have always been embarrassed to admit (for some reason) that child loves to sleep in cupboards, lol!

js sorry - mean to say - for your 3 month old I would take my own travel cot. Book an extra bed for your toddler but put the baby in your own cot if you are driving to the hotel it's easy.

Also if you are going B&B rate, check that they will throw the kids breakfast in for free too. :)

Agree, I'll call and find out. Just says no more than 1 infant per room/suite!

Most hotels allow 2 adults and 2 children but you need to check with the particular hotel you are booking with.
