Oh no they ask you lots of times in satwa if there is a chance that you are pregnant. If you unsure then they make you sign a bit of paper ! I went on a sunday btw. Cool. Thank you for the replies ladies! :)

You have to fill in a detailed form confirming you are not pregnant, so you won't have the chest xray done if you are. :) Fab, thats good to know! When i went for my last medical in Sharjah, they didnt even ask - just got herded into a room to queue then get xray'd. Was worried incase it would be the same at Satwa.

Try going in the afternoons around 2:30pm on a weekday - it's relatively quiet that time (at least for ladies). I had gone some time in June and everything got done within 1.5 hours (a little less than that actually).

Thanks for the link MB! Fingers crossed i drop lucky on the day i decide to go!! Also, Im pregnant - are they pretty sensible about xrays if you tell them or do i need to get a letter from my Ob/Gyn?

PS if you are in a hurry and don't mind paying more, you can do the VIP service at Safa, you can go early morning, and as long as the blood is taken before 11 you'll get the results at 2pm. :)

I took my housemaid in the evening ( around 7.00 pm ) and we were in for hours. they wouldnt let anymore in so we were still in there way past closing time :( Its a bit hit and miss really. My friends housemaid went around the same time as me and she was done in an hour. Booo!!! :( Thanks mushypeas. What days did you and your friend's housemaid go? Anyone know if they're open on a saturday? (even tho im guessing a saturday would be carnage, but iv got more time to wait around at a weekend!)

Hey Ladies! I need to go and get my medical done for my visa at the clinic in Satwa. DH went the other week and it was so busy it took nearly 4 hours!! Really cant face being stuck there that long. Is there a day / time anyone has found it to be reasonably quiet there? TIA! :) xx
