Salma School, a government elementary school for girls, is developing its English programme and is looking for native English speaking women to read stories to the students and/or listen to the students read. The girls are lovely and so eager to learn English, but many of them are hindered by lack of family support for their studies. There is a lot of room for Reading Buddies to make a difference. The school's location is on the border of Satwa and Jumeirah, near the French Bakery and behind Shangri-La Hotel. Scheduling is flexible, although buddies must be available during school hours.
