Its at the "Pink Mall" also locally known as the Pink Mosque. assuming you start at uptown mirdif underground carpark, leave the car park and turn left at the roundabout (this is algeria St, heading towards Warqaa or Tripoli Street) follow the road as it sweeps round to the left and when it straightens there is a turning on your right (15th St)......Turn right here. Follow the road and it sweeps round to the right and you will see the "Pink Mosque" and there is a right turn just before it and a load of shops/restaurants just behind the mosque in the little mall on the left. the Fish and Chip shop is in there. Its exactly as Alive said....pull up Google earth or Googlemaps and follow the directions, you should go too far wrong. the deep fried mars bars or the battered pineapple really finish off a meal from there...its easily the best in DXB... edited by Blueskies on 13/02/2011

So agree with you Alive. It is mega, freshly cooked, yes it does take a bit longer for the food but soooooooo worth it. it is our treat every now and again. The pizza place in the same mall is nice as well.

also they do scrimps, mushy peas to make your dinners really authentic they could do with eradicating deep fried Mars Bars as the bairns keep asking for them, and there's no way that after a fish supper they a having 900 calorie pudding

we also think this is a good place, but I would ask them to make cod and chips at the same time, that way you dont get fresh cod with chips that have been in the heater 15-20 mins already

looked like typical english chip shop not "real pretty" like the chain london fish and chip shops are. was clean though and the guy who worked on food wore gloves. you could tell oil was fresh!

months ago I had seen the input on traditional english, fish and chip shop in Mirdiff. Today we tried it. I thought it was GREAT. other posts said fries we're greasy, I didn't find this at all. we had hammour and haddock and enjoyed both. chips were really good. phone number is 042881812. location - from mirdiff spinny's roundabout go through roundabout down algeria steet, turn right on 15th, follow curve around to left. when you see mosque, you'll make a right in front of the mosuqe and shop is on left. I fed myself and two teenage boys with two meals. we were stuffed and could easily of fed four of us and not pigged out. Cost with two drinks was 74 dhs.
