Hi. I am currently in despair today knowing that my LO is only having one functioning kidney. She is a 3-year adorable baby girl and had only one hospitalization when she was still 2 years old. We decided to leave the country to be with her dad. Last month she had a cold and cough because its cold season, so we decided for a checkup. Then she played around and told her pedia that her tummy aches. The pedia told me that there is a little chance of the insurance approving the ultrasound because we only have the basic insurance for her. But lo and behold, it was approved. God showed us the way. She is a very lively and active baby and there is no really a sign that she is missing an organ.

She is still very happy during the course of the ultrasound even though the doctor is telling me and i will never forget what he told me, Ïnshallah she will live long. she only have one kidney, the left kidney might be atrophied". i was so shocked because i never thought that she has that. sonographer also told me that she has a 2mm stone on her left kidney.

then we went to another facility for a checkup and did not inform her condition. we wanted to ask for a second opinion without them knowing the previous scan. heartbreakingly, it is still the same. left kidney is missing but the stone cannot be found out anymore. but spleen and liver is enlarged, mild interloop fluid in the preitoneal cavity, and mild mesenteric lymphadenopathy. the doctor requested for a battery of blodd tests but the insurance only approved the cheapest one. but we really need to have these tests to check whether she has infections and to rule out enlargements.

and because of these, we were asked to consult a pedia nephro to manage her conditions.

pleading for help of referring me to pedia nephro with a cheaper rate. currently, i am also searching for a good insurance and upgrading the ones we have.

"To you, Lord, we enrust our lives".
