We are thinking of taking the kids to Disney in LA and looking for some recommendation/advise. Have 2 kids 6 and 4 and not sure how many days to book? 3?? Or where to stay?
thanks

pay the extra and stay at a Disney hotel, you get extra benefits. like earlier entry and just walk to the park and then back for a break and the go again after the LO have had a rest. If you buy a multi day pass you get free entry on one day anyway and can come and go as you like

We stayed at Candy Cane Inn last year and loved it. It is quiet-close to the park-but they also run a free shuttle bus. It is a smaller family run hotel with a nice atmosphere-they had free videos for the kids to watch and on arrival a big basket with home baked cookies, candy canes etc. The clincher for us though was that they provide free breakfast as part of the room rate. If you have a premium room breakfast is delivered to your room-otherwise you have it poolside. The bonus of having it in your room is you get enough left-overs for lunch!!! Check out the reviews on trip advisor. You can see the fireworks from the park from your balcony at night too. Try and get a back room away from the road. Internet was also free by the way. We were there 5 days by the way-without kids-but found plenty to do-make sure you visit the Cheesecake Factory there. The children will like Downtown Disney with the Lego Store and Bear factory too. Park passes can be purchased at the hotel too edited by wuffles on 27/03/2011 edited by wuffles on 27/03/2011

Went there a coupe of yrs ago but we stayed in Beverly Hills so we got the best of both worlds - shopping for mummy & Disney & Universal Studios for the kids. We stayed at The Beverly Wiltshire purely because of the movie Pretty Women!! If you're only gonna do Disney then I'd stay in hotel closer to it as we were about a hours drive from it.
