Relocating for 6 months

We are relocating shortly for 6 months then coming back after that period, down to work, we are shipping essentials then storing the rest in Dubai till our return. Do we need bank clearance certificates for the shipping company. None of the companies I have had out for quotes have mentioned it just passport copy and residency but a work colleague has said that they have been told it is a requirement, does anybody know anything about this. Salary is still to be paid into the account here so all financials in that respect are remaining the same.
