Hi,
I have started roaccutane around 20 days back and so far so good. Only think that got me worried is that some people seems to have gained weight on it. My dermatologist has assured me that it's not a hormonal med so won't have any effect on weight but I just want to know if there is anyone who has gained weight on it. Obviously I would love to have acne free skin but definitely not at the expense of gaining weight esp since I have worked so very hard to lose my post pregnancy weight
Thank u so much

Thank you Pinks for your reply. So happy to know that. Now I can continue taking it without the added stress. ?

I've been on Accutane twice in the past, both for 4 month sessions. No weight gain, and have actually never heard of anyone having that problem. As poshbird says, it's not hormonal, doesn't stay in your system, and (from my experience), WELL worth the very short-lived side effects for what you'll gain in the long run.

Thank you so much for your reply. Much relieved to know that there was no weight gain. Even I feel my lips are getting very dry but that's ok with me as long as weight doesn't go up:) I know I sound paranoid but I had a very tough time losing this weight so don't want to go through the nightmare again

I was on Roaccutane for a few months and didn't notice any weight gain :-/ Only thing that was unavaoidable was the painful chapped lips :( No matter how many balms and whatever I tried, they were always cracked and bleeding. That's why I stopped the treatment to be honest.
