Hello

I'm new to Dubai and I will soon be needing my hair cut and coloured. I used to go to Saks in the UK and I believe there is a Scottish man who works in Saks out here. Does anyone have an idea of how much they would charge for a cut and colour? I just need a trim and I usually get foil highlights.

Thanks in advance

A relaxed salon. Been going there for long while and happy with Martin. Last cut & blow dry was Thursday Dhs 280. Both came from Saks in Scotland.

Oooh, I have been there. (Saks Old Town) I wont be going back! Yes there are two Scottish guys and to be honest, I was amazed at the general banter that goes on between them. Not my kind of humour and Im a fairly liberally minded Scot from Glasgow!! I have shortish hair and a cut and root colour treatment was 650dhms....... I couldnt believe it. Being a new client to the salon, and also considering the brand they are promoting, I expected a really good level of service. The cut wasnt fantastic, the colour ok, result unhappy experience. This was a couple of months ago.:(

I go to Brian and would highly recommend him. My friend goes to Martin and she has said he is fab. As Kelly1814 says, they are a hoot and I spend most of the time in stitches at the stories they tell. A right comedy act...! Well worth the money in comparison to some of the nightmare doo's I have had after going to Lebanese hairdressers previously. Hope this helps :)

Thanks in advance I've been going to martin for years ever since they opened as do all of my friends. he's brilliant. great cut, colour (he really understand western, blonde hair) and he's a hoot too! i spend every appointment in peals of laughter. i pay about 600 for a cut and highlights. not super cheap but i've had way too many bad experiences with bleach and lebanese hairdressers when i first arrived. there's also a scottish guy there called brian. he's good too but i prefer martin.

well I have a full colour tint and cut and blowdry and its around 500. It's not the cheapest place, but I really like Elaine and the other girls seem very good too. They have a website - maybe the prices are on there.

Hi Dundee30. I went to Martin a couple of times. He was a fairly good hairdresser but I stopped going due to the fact that they seemed to make the prices up as they went along ! He charged me 100 dhs more than my daughter who visited just after me for the same package. To be fair, this was in the early days so maybe things have improved, but I would guess price could be anywhere between 450 and 600. (Maybe someone who goes there now can confirm). I go to Elaine at Ted Morgan now on the Palm. Very happy.
