.. deserted beach that apparently exists somewhere between Dubai and Abu Dhabi? Apparently, it is so secret that four legged pets are able to be let off leads to run and go in the sea and generally have a good time without anyone getting into trouble.. If you know of it, please could you kindly email me on simpleasanniebc at gmail dot com
Sshhhhhhhhhh....

That's Nessnass beach. My favourite. I don't know why I keep saying about it on here, I should zip my lip. OK, so I'm not going to ask, will try to google it (fat chance!). Is there allowed to be an EW obscene word beach walking group?

Hi, i go to the beach on a saturda it is after sunset mall on jermerah Rd, there are always lots of dogs and a police car , but I haven't seen the police say anything to the dog owners. So maybe they are turning a blind eye. I love it :) We daren't go anywhere in Dubai as we are terrified of losing her to the Municipality, we've heard so many negatives about letting a dog off the leash here, we're just too scared of falling foul of the law.

OK, Saltire, now I'm worried I'm being unduly cynical, strike me pink but I thought you meant the jail, because dogs are so not allowed here :) Sorry to have been so rude and thank you for the directions, I actually thought it was somewhere further towards Abu Dhabi than that:) :) No offence taken. :)

before palm times there used to be an endless beach to wander along there. Is that the beach you speak of? We fostered a dog and he loved it there. Could run for miles with no troubles. Honestly, I've no idea - someone mentioned a friend of a friend knowing about it, and as I expect ExpatWoman to be all knowing and all seeing, I thought I'd ask here! I did understand it to be a way out of Dubai itself, though. It would be fun for us as well as our four-legged friend. Such a pain not being able to take her with us wherever we go..

I am not good at giving directions. From Dubai you head on SZR towards Abu Dhabi and turn off for the Jebel Ali Hotel Resort, I don't know the exit number but I am sure there is a sign for the hotel and you keep heading for the hotel, when you get to the hotel, instead of turning in to it there is a road at the left of it and that leads you straight on to the beach. I am sure someone else will come on and give you better directions. :)

Yup. I'd really appreciate something more helpful than that :)
