Shipping / moving belongings to Dubai from UK

Hi, I am looking for some advice, before my big move to Dubai…
It will be several months before I am in a position to be able to ship my house contents from the UK to Dubai.
In the meantime I have priced up shipping a few large suitcases as parcels. Does anyone please have any information regarding this? What the import costs would be? A location I can ship them too (The airport free zone?) as I am not sure I can enter a house address for delivery, as I do have a contact in Dubai.
Also any advice / recommendations for shipping my house contents a few months down the line by sea, would be very much appreciated.
