so typical - I suppose we should just get used to it ...
I'm just getting out the shower this morning and the doorbell rings - I try to get there as fast as I can as It rings and rings...
I get to the door and there's this guy standing there - he hands me a notice...
"This is to inform you that we (Wade Adams) are going to commence the excavation works for upgrading the water network DEWA (W) at near Premises.
We apologize for the inconveniences caused in this regard and thank you in advance for your co-operation and understanding work starts on 9/12/2010

Now I'm wondering...
last month we couldn't get out of our garage as a deep trench had been dug along the whole side of the road - we had to wait for them to fill it in so we could get out and then we parked our car on the other side of the road for a week or so while they were busy - you'd think if they were going to block someone's garage, they'd ring the bell and ask if there was a car that might need to get out before they dug deep trenches...
or could it perhaps be that we might be without water sometime in the next few days...
I tried to call the numbers provided - an Indian guy who couldn't understand a word I was saying answered the office phone and surprise! surprise! - no reply from the Site Agent's mobile phone
We are in Jumeirah 2 - does anyone know if they are going to start working on the water network or is it the work that was carried out at the end of last year?
