I have recently moved to Dubai with my husband and son. I was a child protection social worker back in the UK. I have 8 years of experience. I did some research before I moved over, and did not find anything job wise. I just wondered if anyone knows anything about social work jobs out here in Duabi, or something similar?

None here unless you work for a family privately as a social worker. The concept here does not exist in a way you imagine. There are certain governmental organisations that employ Emiratis only in that capacity. Try getting in touch with the Dubai Shelter for Women and Children, perhaps they could advise you further.
