I don't think you can really compare the two books in any way because they target two different age groups as readers. Having said that, I really enjoyed both books. Maybe it depends on your age as reader when you read "A Spot of Bother". As I am being a bit older, I could maybe relate better to some parts of the story. When I bought the book the shop assistant (early twenties) looked in horror at me because she thought it was a terrible book. I was worried that I won't enjoy it, but I really did enjoy it in the end.
