Student with ADD being monitored by school
My daughter was diagnosed with ADD since the age of 9. She is now 15. She has time management issues that have resulted in her missing deadlines when it comes to submitting work.
The psychology reports give a list of several ways the teachers can help her stay focused in class, she is not disruptive, she just zones out occasionally.
However the school decided to put her on monitoring, every day and every lesson She has to hand in a paper where each teacher assesses her focus during that particular class.
This is really affecting her confidence and morale. It's like being singled out when they know you have an issue.
Is this the right way to help her out? Am feeling so angry and frustrated. I spoke with the head of secondary and he thinks this is justified.
