I did my Gelish at Tips n Toes on the Palm before leaving for my annual vacation & yes i agree with all the comments, it lasted very well, my nails didn't break etc. But its a pain to have to go back, spend another AED35 to get if off...but that is a must as peeling it off yourself will only damage your nails.

Its nice not to hve to worry about chipping them which i dont now. My only gripe with t & t is the seating arrangements, i sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable sat opposite someone and sometimes people just look at you as there is nowhere else to look Lol, just me typical brit i think. I do however, like the t & t at Arabian Ranches a lovely girl called florivita? has done my last 2 Gelish and did a great job. plus its near home and i can get late appointments there. I agree about seats in AR t&t, I felt like I'd entered into some kind of parallel universe. If aliens landed in t&t and saw what was going on they'd think we were a pretty weird bunch and scarper!

I believe that the Gel is conditioning for your nails and so long as you have it removed properly (unlike me who peels it off whoops) you should be fine, my nails have grown remarkably well and are very strong im loving my new nails :) Edited for spelling dur :) edited by egg on 08/02/2011 Thanks for that I'm loving mine too!

I never do my nails but someone gave me a voucher so I had gelish at TnT. So far fab, it feels great, hasn't chipped at all and my nails are actually growing longer without splitting like they normally do. I'm a bit worried about the long term effect as a friend said her nails seemed weaker after she'd had it removed. She didn't go to TnT though. I'm definitely going to have it removed and reapplied in the next week or so and could just become a mani pedi convert, something I never thought I'd be! edited by cushion on 08/02/2011

Well i have been and had it twice now and really like it although there are not many colours to choose from, lasts very well no chipping and no drying which is the best part as i always end up smudging/chipping straight after placing hands in the dryer i am clumsy. Worth the money to me in and out in less than 40 minutes :)

Had French mani with gelish at T 'n' T, AR. Lasted about a week and managed to peel off the layers myself!!! Gelish pedi still going strong. Good if you want it for a special event - at least you know you won't have to worry about chipping between the time you leave the salon and your night out. No need for dryer either which is a plus!

Tipa and Toes charge 100dhs. The gelish stays on for 2 - 3 weeks.... you need to change it as it grows out. It looks great and your nails grow well. Much better than normal polish which chips within a few days.

I used it the last time while I was inbetween normal nails for an Op and my usual Acrylic. I have to say it did help as my nails were just plain for a week and I broken/ripped 5 in just that time with a normal polish!
