I have a question regarding US embassy,
When you apply for visa, you have to show the bank statement that you can afford your stay in there so will they contact the bank to confirm your balance?
And how long does it basicly takes to get a visa?

If anyone has any information please share !! :)

Hi Puppy! It really depends which country you are from. If you are from the UAE, you could get your visa in a few days. If you are from, let's say, Niger, it could take a very long time to get approved if you ever do.

In my experience, the embassy officials want you to demonstrate that your life is here in the UAE or basically anywhere that's not the US so they don't get the impression that you plan to stay there. So a copy of your lease or prperty ownership, paystubs, bank statements, letter from your employer or employment contract etc are all good evidence of that. If they agree to issue your visa, you usually get it within 4-5 days.
