Visa for Australia - haven't heard!

I've applied for a E-visitor (class TV) E-visitor (Subclass 651) visa to visit Australia at the end of the week to attend a conference. I've received an acknowledgement however there is nowhere on the acknowledgement to say what to do next, or what to expect next. I sent them an email on the 23rd February for a status update but haven't heard anything.

Can anyone give me any ideas on what I should expect to receive or do I just rock up with my paperwork and fly as planned. I am a British Citizen and hold a British Passport.

Thanks so much, as I'm getting a little nervous. I tried to ring the consulate/embassy here in Dubai but only get a recorded message.

Thanks so much in advance!

Depending on when you asked for the visa to start you may have a problem if you are flying a day early. All I got was an email confirming that my visa application had been processed and then it's on their system in Oz.

Thanks SD123 - hope it's going to be OK as now I have to go a day earlier .... But doubt they will respond to my emails! Hope all goes well, long way to go to be turned around at MEL! Left the paperwork at work but don't think it actually states I have the Evisa, will check in the morning!!

Hi there, When I applied for my visa back in December it was the same thing just got the acknowledgment saying my transaction was successful and I had an E visa. I also thought it was strange so asked a friend who was an immigration lawyer and she said apparently that's all that happens. I was fine when I went through immigration in Sydney it showed up when they scanned my passport. I took a copy of the acknowledgement with me just in case they asked at immigration. So as long as your acknowledgment states you have an E-Visa you should probably be ok as well.
