I need a moving company (moving within Dubai) whose staff will not nick and break my furniture, steal my belongings and behave carelessly with my items. Courteous behaviour a huge plus.

Please tell me there is a company like this out there.... Have gotten recommendation to check out Wales Movers.

Any thoughts and experiences much, much appreciated.

I used Crystal i think the name of the company dealt with a guy called Simon 0503855257 were great moved from a 2 bed in downtown to motorcity cost 1400 they packed everything and unpacked and rebuilt everything at the other end there were great, that was last Jan 10 though so prices may be a bit more though. Edited to say get his email address and email him your requirements, by far easier than trying to explain on the phone, he will come back with a quote but knock him down on the price he quotes. <em>edited by egg on 04/04/2011</em>

Hi, I used Gill Cargo Packing which is run by a British chap (Mirdif to Mirdif 4 bedroom villa @ 2400dhs) they were very reasonable and quick and we had absolutely no problems. I would certainly recommend them. The number is 043278402.

havent used wales movers but i did like the services of british budget. Their quote was way cheaper to the other removal companies. 050-1155398. hope this helps

I will try On the Move for a quote. Thank you camelfly!! MrsMopp, that's just cheeky. Sorry you had such a bad experience this time round. We used Crown Reloc from Singapore to DXB and they were terrible, stolen items, damaged, etc. Both ends had terrible staff. And expensive to boot. Moustique, that would be superb!! Fingers crossed :-) Thank you very much Philly. Will give them a wide berth. Really sorry to hear you had such a nightmare.

Don t touch DASA They were awful awful awful very expensive - said we needed 20 foot and then oh joy last minute we needed 40 foot container Packers didnt turn up the right day and when they did instead of 6 were 2 Nightmare - gave us 6 week turnaround was 12 !!!!!!!!!!!

I used them to move into our villa a year ago and they were great. Packed eveything carefully and methodically and unpacked it all for us, placing everything were it should be, all the way down to the various spices in the kitchen cupboards LOL. All in one day, which was a nice change from the previous company we used, who took over 3 days to unpack and reassemble all our furniture. <em>edited by Moustique on 17/03/2011</em>

Used them about a couple of years ago and they were superb. Asked for a quote for same size villa and same distance move 12 moths later and they had gone from 3,500 to 5,500. After many emails and phone calls I decided not to bother out of principal. I was a returning customer and they still tried to rip me off. Used GILL packing last year and horrified.
