We've never done gifts or going out for Valentine's Day. Each to their own but in our view it's just a load of commercial tosh. Our wee Valentine's routine is a takeaway cuzaa and bottle of fizz on the sofa ;) Happy days.

Mine is IMPOSSIBLE to buy for...he just goes out and gets the things he wants...or he doesn't love the things I pick out for him. So I have got him one of those Visa gift card thingies they sell at EPPCO and Carrefour (like the ones you pitch in to give teachers from all of the class). That way he can select whatever he likes OR use it to take me/thekids/whomever out to lunch or dinner if he doesn't want something specific. Not terribly romantic but practical!
