eeek, himself has just suggested HE will go purchase fridge! We have precedence to not trust as him, as to save 100dh he went ahead and bought a stove I didnt select, and consequently I have had a stove for the last 4 years that I want to set fire to (and often do, but no such luck in getting rid of it)

He SWEARS he will be good this time, and I am maggotly busy and frantic, and house has broken down and not packed and washing not done and animals and food need to be delivered everywhere and and and...we leave at stupid o clock tomorrow for the weekend. what would you do? am I being a complete idiot for even thinking about it?

ok, i messed up. he's bought the fridge but just called me to ask where we live! I give up! Dear lord.... and how long have you lived there? How on earth did he survive when you and Little Miss were away? edited by Izzy99 on 16/02/2011

rather scarily, he is phoning and seeking direction/advice. What I want to know is: who is he, and what did he do with my hubby?

could you look online for the one you'd like (or similar), print it off and add a list of no-no's...that way if he stuffs up you've got it in black and white !! lol just quietly, have been pointing out my ideal fridge for the last 3 years....he knows what I want, but it's like the diamond (and the stove etc) just what is he going to come back with? If it's the right fridge, i bet you a million dollars it's my birthday present....

he must be ill...he has taken all advice on board (from here and my slightly hysterical rantings) and has promised to phone when he narrows it down. Pretty sure our polar shift came a year early.....

Why don't you send him with a trusted friend who's really good at convincing and knows exactly which one YOU'D want?

and seriously tell him not to get an F&P - we are having all kinds of trouble with betterlife who are the distributor here, and therefore (apparently the only ones who service them). DH did some research on the internet to find out what is wrong with ours, and apparently there are quite a few "quality control" issues with their fridges at the mo. I have spent all week trying to get our fridge sorted....still not fixed and apparently it's just a $2 switch which needs replacing.

My DH would come back with one that has all the gadgets - ice maker etc, which I don't like and think is a waste of space... so nope wouldn't send mine on his own to get one :)

Meet him and choose for yourself then delegate some of the chores to him.

Hmmm.....you cant screw up a fridge too badly. As long as it chills! tell him to try a Kelvinator or Westinghouse as both really good brands you cant go wrong with :)
