Did anyone else go to see Yo Yo Ma playing cello at al Jahili Fort in Al Ain last night? We had a perfect night out. Amazing concert-suoerb venue-and the audience was so quiet you could hear a pin drop during the performance. Have waited years to hear him perform live-something else to tick off my Bucket List!!!!

Here's the link-part of the al Ain Classics Festival http://www.aacf.ae/en/about-us.html We booked nearly 4 months ago-was determined to sit up close and personal!!! Think it was advertised in Time Out Dubai They also run a free bus from Dubai to al Ain during the Festival <em>edited by wuffles on 06/03/2011</em>

We didn't realize the series of concerts was on till we visited the fort on Friday afternoon, or we'd have been there like a shot. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Will look out for a similar series of concerts next year. How did you find out about it, please? Is there a site apart from EW from which you can get useful information? I think he still has one more concert at Emirates Palace in the next day or two-different programme but no doubt still great-we wanted the one where he played the most!
