Can anyone share with me ways to encourage my 12 week old to nap.. He sleeps in his cot at night but screams if put down in it for a nap in the day.. Travelling in the car is no better after 5minutes he screams until I reach my destination. Going for walks keeps him calm and settled, he still won't sleep..
advice appreciated

My first baby never slept in her cot during the day. She was happy to go in it at night but would scream and scream if I tried during the day. I gave up on trying the cot and she'd sleep in either her buggy, baby bjorn bouncer or car seat (less than two hour sleeps only). It made life much easier once I gave up on the cot. If you walk your son long enough in his buggy will he fall asleep eventually? I spent a couple of hours a day out walking, it was winter in the UK when my daughter was born. I'd be shivering my way around the park in sleet, snow or rain and she'd be blissfully asleep, rugged up with a hot water bottle and rain cover over her buggy. It sounds awful but I actually have rather fond memories of it and it was better than being home listening to her scream. Both my sons have slept in their cot during the day no problems.
