17 month old refusing milk...
Hello ladies,
For the past week DD has been refusing formula, will not touch it. If either myself of DH are having cereal from a bowl for breakfast she will sit with us and eat freash milk and cereals from the spoon (but that makes up for maybe 50ml of milk).
At first I thought she may not want formula anymore so I put fresh milk in her bottle with no luck. Then I thought that perhaps she didn't want the bottle anymore so I tried formula as well as fresh milk in a cup, I even tried one of these small UHT milk packs as it resembles a juice pack and she likes drinking from a straw, again no luck.
I understand from online research that this can happen and it can be a phase that can last anything from days to months. I am not too worried about her calcium intake as she has yogurt, cheese and other non dairy sources of calcium, however since she's not a big water drinker I view milk as both nutritrius and a significant portion of her fluids intake.
Has anybody had a similar experience and if so, how long did it last and how did you handle it? TIA!
