morning ladies,
after some advice please.
My DS has always been a great sleep- slept through the night from 10 weeks and since then i've only ever had to get up to him on 3 or 4 occasions. weekends he wakes up at 8 and week days 7.15- i have to wake him up for nursery.
the last 3 weeks he has been waking in the night and then from 6.15ish he is ready to get up. last night he had me up 4 times for his dummy- his new trick is to throw the dummy through the bars of the cot and then calls for me to come and get it for him- as im walking out the room he throws it again. ive tried cutting down his sleep in the day- didnt make a difference, give him a little extra milk before bed- doesnt make a difference.
even from a young baby he would always be able to find the dummy- it doesnt matter how many i put in now he'll just chucks them through the bars.
soooo im thinking of taking the dummy away from him- i wanted to keep it until he was 2ish as we are travelling quite a bit from april and he really helps he to settle and fall asleep.
any advice? shall i just go cold turkey- take dummy away and possibly have 3 nights bad sleep or do something else? im working full time and am like a zombie today. we are so used to him sleeping in that waking at 6am is a shock- im not too bothered about that- its the middle of the night waking that is tiring me out.
any advice will be much appreciate :)
