Hi ladies.Has any of you delivered there?i did a tour, loved the facilities, midwife, but it felt too new, too empty for me.My OB has highly recommended them, i was supposed to deliver in city but shes not happy with the waiting there to get a room when you are in labour and sometimes when they are too busy they will send you to a different hospital. Any experiences al Al Zahra would highly be appreciated especially with the pediatricians,i have 4 weeks to go and need to decide this week between al Zahra dubai and city.

Definately arrange a tour you wont be disappointed, i'm on the Palm so its literally five minutes from me. I'm feeling great thankfully my two year old keeps me busy, best of luck with your pregnancy as well.

Ooh, thanks Maxine! I'll have to call and arrange a tour. Would be so close to home for us, too! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, hope you're feeling well!

Hi just to add the rooms are all private and they have a couple of VIP rooms which are larger with a lounge area.

Hi im 26 weeks pregnant with my second and am attending the new Al Zahra hospital. Im seeing Doctor Yamini who delivered my first son at Welcare, everything went perfect with her so i followed her to Al Zahra. At the moment i have had to claim back my insurance as they are in the process of organising direct billing but they hope to have this resolved really soon. I had a tour of the hospital last week and the facilities are really nice, I'm actually looking forward to my two night stay lol.

I've been looking into hospitals in Dubai and have narrowed my choices down to City Hospital and the new Al Zahra Hospital. I would honestly prefer Al Zahra based on their midwives, location, and attractive cost. Has anyone delivered there since they opened (or know someone who knows someone who did)? I'm also at a loss for a doctor because all the ones I'm interested in seeing only seem to deliver at City (Dr. Koster, Dr. Josza, Dr. Skorski). Does anyone have any insight? Can I continue to see someone for my antenatal care and then just choose to deliver at Al Zahra? This is my first pregnancy, so that may be a ridiculous question. But honestly, I just don't know.
