Alternate to bottle feeding

DS is 8 months now, BF and has consistently rejected the bottle. As I get ready to join back work (hopefully not for another 2 months), I want to know if anyone had luck with feeding their babies with anything else but bottle (sippy cup, normal glass, etc). He does take water from the sippy cup, but its mostly small quantities and with a lot of spill. My only concern is the quantity, as to me large quantities of milk does not seem practical with sippy cups. I am hoping that with practise it does get better, but he might be too young for it. Anyone had any experience with this?
