I am 18 weeks pregnant .The doc gave me gyno daktarin 200mg ovules.
It looks like plastic from out side i wonder how it is absorbed,is it really like that?
I used one last night and had some clear sticky discharge and itching. Is it normal. Moreover the med says to be used in first trimester only while i am 18 weeks?

Have you tried natural yoghurt on a tampon? This is a natural method and can work well for thrush They do resemble plastic and are absorbed

Hi I had thrush throughout my pregnancy which was awful & used Daktarin cream & ovules. I was also sceptical but it was fine but I think also cutting out yeast products helped. Bread changed to spelt bread & pasta was a no no. I think in my case the pregnancy brought it on as I had never had it before.

Yes, not recommended after first trimester unless it is necessary. Perhaps you should get a 2nd opinion.
