Just recently found out I'm expecting. It's our first pregnancy and very excited, and overwhelmed tbh. As my insurance didn't cover maternity hubby and I took out the silver package from ADNIC : extortionate premiums but can't put a price on peace of mind or health tbh. Unfortunately, the hopsitals which are highly recommended by everyone, such as city, aren't included.

My choices are: Lifeline Hopsital (LLC) in Jebel Ali (closest to our home and most convenient, the Iranian hospital, Belhoul Specialtiy Hospital, Al Rafa or NMC specaility hospital. I'm leaning towards Lifeline in jebel Ali for convenience and the fact they have a new NICU unit. Anyone delivered/had experience at any?

Also, can anyone who has adnic silver recommend a good ob-gyn for antenatal appointments or am I best to attend the hospital that I choose?

Any advice will be much appreciated ladies!

Hi Towis Did you ever get more information on Jebel Ali Hospital's maternity unit? We are looking at it now and I am struggling for information.

Thanks Ekari! I'll check it out then! I do have insurance and this is one of the hospitals that it covers. Good to know antenatal and delivery would all be done under one roof. I'm still really interested to know if anyone has delivered in Jebel Ali Lifeline hospital?

I've delivered at the Iranian hospital a number of times(that was years back). I had Insurance though, but I still choose to have my kids there, coz of the way the ob-gyn treated me during my Visits... I had checked into some great Hospitals like American Hosp, Welcare Hospital,etc... but was put off by their attitude.. (may be it was just my PG Hormones at the time I guess.ahahahah...) Well, -They do give a great discount if u get a 'membership card' early in your Pregnancy. -You get to see a good number of ob-gyn n decide whom u would Love to have as ur Ob-gyn. -The visiting fees r reasonable n the meds are free. -Private rooms are also reasonable -If u have a Normal delivery, I think that will be reasonable too compared to a C-sec but C-sections are the Cheapest there compared to all the Hospitals in Dubai. Hope I was of some Help. God Bless. -EKari.
