Hello ladies, have any of you flown Emirates and had your Quinny Buzz with you? I am wondering if they allow it to the gate and how they pack the seat, if at all. I was told they usually have heavy duty plastic bags they use to pack it in but not sure how reliable this is. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

M must mean the zapp though I'm still surprised to hear they'd let u take it on board. I took the buzz, was told at check in that they would pack it at the gate for me, arrived at gate to find we would be taking a bus to the aircraft and of course nobody knew anything about plastic bags to pack it in. After a scenic 20 min ride we parked in front of the aircraft for another 10mins and then I had to close the buzz which is not possible to do with one hand. So I had to ask a ground staff to hold dd who started crying naturally while I was trying to close the stroller as fast as I could:-) Luckily I had taken a big garbage bag with me soI covered the seat, put it on top of the frame and tied the two together with a luggage belt and handed it for loading. It arrived fine at the destination gate where of course I had to ask another crew member to hold dd so I could open it and put it together. All in all quite a hassle when traveling alone but we've been making good use of the buzz while on hols so I'd probably do it again..... edited by Big blue on 19/08/2013

M is that a quinny buzz or a quinny zapp? The buzz is very big and i dont think they would allow you to take it on board? the zapp is smaller and goes on board? Maybe im wrong? I have taken a buzz, it goes in a hold at the door of the plane but depending where your flying too they might not give it back to you until you collect your luggage, I bought the zapp for traveling its much better?

We always take ours on board. Prior to getting to the gate, we zip it up into the carry bag and take it on board. It fits into the overhead cabin fine. The only time we have had any issues was when we zipped it up right next to the gate and of course got lots of push back but insisted as technically it complies with carry on requirements. We have flown numerous times with it including just last week. It's the best thing ever especially when you don't want to be carrying a tired toddler!
