Hi ladies. i need your feedback.
I was thinking of starting some sort of 'baby shower' and wedding chocolate favors. when i was looking for shower favors before i gave birth i realised chocolate shops here charge crazy prices, from 10-50 dirham per piece. i have access to material and accessories suppliers, do u think this business will succeed?

I am actually looking for little charms in the form of dummies, nappy pins, rocking horse, bottle etc. Back home you can get these on a bracelet made of beads to give to each guest at a baby shower. Anyone know where I could source some here in Dubai definitely try the Party Centre in Garhoud... they have all sorts of small dinky stuff that u can use for baby showers :)

@ CK: i saw them here at the party supply shops, like the ones in beach center and garhoud. but if u want biq quantities they are not cheap. go have a look, and let me know if u need help. @abby: i know what u mean by hobby. i enjoy doing this stuff a lot. everytime a friend gets pregnant i get so excited and start buying accessories ribbons chocolates and get to work. what a rush :)

why dont u start it off as a freelancer using social networks (like facebook, etc.) as ur marketing tool... and see how it picks up... i myself run a successful wedding & social events planning consultancy in a similar fashion and so far it's been good... Making Memories is the name of my business people in dubai are always on the lookout for something new and creative to buy :)
