Ladies,

looking for a place to host a baby shower lunch - about 10 people max. Any recommendations. Nothing too expensive as dont want the ppl comign to feel like they are forking out for lunch and a gift....

Any ideas would be great as i rarely go out for lunch so havent a clue where to start. It will prob be on a friday/ saturday
Thanks in advance.

The nicest baby shower I have attended is the One and Only Royal Mirage for High Tea. Fabulous!

Hi ladies yeah i think a tea/scones is much nicer than a full meal.. and cheaper too. Will look into it! Thanks so much

I had a babyshower afternoon tea kind of party at the Royal Mirage 3 years ago and it was lovely. You just have to mention what you can or cant eat, first pregnancy we tend to stick to ALL the rules dont we. I thought the Montgomery Golf club does special" baby shower" lunches. I also remember getting a flyer from Emirates Golf Club about baby shower lunches. Maybe you can give them a call? edited by KenzaB on 01/09/2013 Another option might be Shakespeare? They have a very nice decor and very wallet friendly afternoon tea. edited by KenzaB on 01/09/2013

Maybe a brunch would be more cost effective? Not Saffron or Yalumba though :) One of the less 'party' brunches and you would obviously go for the no alcohol package. Or how about afternoon tea somewhere? This can sometimes be a bit more sociable than an actual full-on meal. It would also be cheaper than a lunch out. Lots of threads on recommended places too :)
