There's nothing worse than the feeling of not knowing whether you need to *do* something or not, especially as if it's your first baby lots of things that happen are 'firsts' too!
If she's chirpy, taking fluids and not leaking from both ends, I would do the wait and see strategy.....
Hope you have a good night with her and she's back to normal in the morning.
she just woke up and is bright eyed and bushy tailed, but has hiccups really bad, still smiling, maybe she had/hs heart burn... or maybe one of my hairs was stuck in her through, i mean she is always pulling them out... i will deff keep my eyes on her, feeding her as much as she needs, poor little lamby... : (
I would just keep my eye on her if I were you. They say that just vomitting is self limiting so as long as she's not got a runny bum too it should be under control. Offer her as many BF's as you can cos she'll need the fluid.
I'm obviously not a doc, just a mum of three so if you're not sure at all, call the docs for reassurance.
Good luck, vommy babes are very sad :(
i fed her solids this morning and she was fine, but it was after falling asleep on me during breastfeeding that she woke up and threw up, i thought perhaps she just choked a little but she kept on throwing up in an hours span. i did try to feed her more BM but she sorta comfort sucked and pulled away looked at me smiled, laughed and threw up, she is asleep right now. no snot, no fever, a little clammy though.
she has been alright all day no fever or anything, them she took her afternoon nap and woke up vomiting 3x in a row and 3 times after in an hours time, she is asleep again, is this something i should worry about, i am thinking i will wait till she wakes up again and see if she continues to vomit and is lethargic before i call the dr. any advice? or suggestions? i have some baby-lite here i will give her a little when she wakes up.
