I currently have the MaxiCosi Pebble car seat for my 6 month old, and from day one he's hated it, every car journey is a poor lil screaming baby! :(

A few friends of mine back in the states have recommended the Britax Pavilion car seat which I have been told is a baby & toddler car seat which sits them up a bit more upright and a bit higher so they can see out the window.

My questions are:
- does anyone know if I can buy the Britax Pavilion in Dubai?
- does anyone know of any similar type of car seats that may also be sold in Dubai?
- does anyone have one they would want to sell or temporarily let me borrow to see if my son would enjoy the car a bit more?

Thanks! :)

Pretty sure the Pavillion is not available in Dubai, to begin with check muzworld and amazon, maybe also carseat.se to see what selection they have of Group 0/1 seats which is what you should be looking for. Also check rear facing seat threads, I posted a review recently. You should make sure it is rear facing since your baby is still very young. Don't rely on "consultants" at stores here, most of them are clueless and if anything they give dangerous advice.

The Pebble looks to be an infant car seats and they naturally place the baby in a more reclined position because newborns don't have head control to sit upright. The Pavilion looks to be a convertible car seat. Some of them are better for younger babies than others, but they generally sit the baby in a more upright position. Some have adjustable recline while others don't. You don't need a Pavilion in particular. Shop around for a convertible (forward and rearfacing) car seat. I believe there was a thread recently on the main board where TDB and a couple other moms were discussing convertible seats and options available locally. I think some were talking about the Maxi Cosi Milofix, but not 100% certain. A quick search of the forum should help you find the thread, though. Good luck!
