Hi,
Has anyone tried using a Basal thermometer and an ovulation chart to try and select your babies ***? (oops, didn't know you couldn't write *** here when speaking about gender..... So I'll change that to babies gender ;)

My friend finally used this Method to get a girl after 4 boys and Im Interested in your stories :)

It's not a huge thing for us, I'm happy either way. Just wondering if it is a common thing to do as my friend mentioned out of the 15 mums in her mothers group, 8 tried it and 7 got what they wanted. Maybe it was just chance, but she swears by it. I'd think about giving it a go for number three if I get the same gender for number two, but still wouldn't mind if We got three the same. I'm thrilled just to have a healthy happy baby.

I've not heard that tracking your BBT can help with gender selection, I thought keeping a track of your basal body temp enabled you to pinpoint your ovulation date, when there has been an increase of .2 degrees for 2 consecutive days that shows you that you've ovulated. A fertility clinic can help with gender selection if you really don't want to leave it to chance.

not the temp but tried doing it the 'girl" way as in "doing it" a few days before ovulation so only the germ sperm survive. Didn't get pregnant, then gave up and did it the day before and day of ovulation, conceived a girl! Some of those girls are fast swimmers after all!
