Hi All,

I wondered if any of you had any experience with Birthing pools and/or Doula's here in Dubai. This is not my first baby and previously I have delivered in AH. Just going through my options right now and would like to hear from anyone willing share.

Hi Jussie, My last birth was a water birth (in the UK) and I was desperate to have another, which is why I've chosen to deliver at Al Zahra. They don't offer water births yet (they are hoping to in the near future - i've got my legs crossed waiting!) but they do have portable birthing pools for use during labour. You can book a tour of the labour ward which is conducted by their head midwife and she's more than happy to answer your questions. Sorry, can't help with information about Doulas but i have seen several threads on here about them - it might be worth doing a search if you don't get any replies. Good luck!
