Hi,
I saw many brands and I was wondering what are your recommendations.
Also is it better to go manual or electric? and to have one or double?
Thank you.

Hi, Manual or electric and single versus double completely depends on how often you would like to or have to express. I went back to work part time after 3 months, attended a wedding when my girl was 4,5 months (was away from her for a week, so needed supply and pump and dump for a week) and back to full time after 7 months. So had to express quite a lot and stock up my freezer for extra supply. At one stage I had about 12 liters in the fridge of BM. I therefore bough a double electric pump from Medela (Swing in Style) and was really happy with how it worked. I stopped breastfeeding when my girl turned one. Completely depends on your needs. Most used breast pumps are I guess the Medela ones and Avent of Philips. edited by ET1975 on 15/09/2011
