I had a small stint of this with bubs yesterday and it was breaking my heart, not to mention stressful. Thankfully I picked up on it and stopped it fast. It was due to a dietary change that I think changed the smell of my skin and probably my milk. I read this can also happen if you change lotions, deodorant or clothes detergent. Look back and see whether something has changed for you? Or are you stressed about something, as bubs might be picking up on the tension.
All the best and hope things settle soon.
is she happy in your arms if she has just had a feed?, are you feeding her on demand or to a schedule, maybe its just her way of telling you she would like to be fed more often? It definitely doesn't mean she doesn't like you!
Also are you tense about anything, sometimes your body language can unsettle a babe. Or are you holding her in nursing position and confusing her, maybe on your shoulder is better?
I have seen this quite often in newborns though and its not a reflection of dislike or lack of closeness, are you sure she is unhappy and not just communicating with her fav person in the world?
It is not due to her being unhappy with you. In fact the opposite. Feeding from you is the single most comforting thing for her - and her moans and cries are about seeking out that closeness with you. Its very normal.
I would love to know if anyone else is finding this as a breast feeding mum.
I am finding that my LO is always unsettled around me but when ever she is with someone else she is happy and does not moan or cry I take her back and she changes. I have ready this is possible as I feed her and she can smell the milk. Its starting to upset me she seems happy with everyone else except for me.
Does anyone else have this problem?
