Hi all.

We're slowly navigating our way through what we are going to need when our little bundle arrives next year and have come to the question about cars. We currently have a 2 door Prado but are trying to decide if we're going to need to try and change to a 4 door car for ease of getting the car seat in and out. Do any of you have similar 2 door cars and little ones? How do you find getting the car seat in and out - is it ok or a bit of a nightmare?

Any feedback greatly appreciated!
TIA! :)

I would say - change to 4 door for your own sanity :) I had 2 door Pajero when DS arrived, so I ended up not using the car till he grew up and we moved to front facing car seat (still hassle, but more manageable). With rear seat it's more difficult to put and take out of car or even if car seat is fixed, to put a child in and out, specially if you have to comfort LO in the middle of your way :) (believe me this happened to me a lot, when I had to stop on numerous petrol stations or parkings or sideways just to comfort screaming DS) Of course you could keep the car seat on the front passenger seat, but you will have to disable the air bags + it's not that safe for LO being on the front edited by dramaqn on 27/11/2011
