Has anyone had an experience with City hospital yet? Not talking about the gynae's (mine is awesome).. talking about the nurses in the wards.....

had my DS there 1 year ago and found all the midwives to be lovely. DS was then in the paeds section 1 month later and the nurses in there were also wonderful.

I will tell you my experience ... I had twins at city in September by CS. I found the nurses to be - cheerfully disorganized. For one thing, they were very friendly. I had lots of long chats with them as they didn't seem to be overworked (which was a good thing) and by the time I left, I knew lots about their families and their complicated love lives. On the other hand, they seemed to always have misplaced whatever it was that was needed at the time. Memorably, they lost the roller that is meant to move the patient from the operating table to the rolling bed - so I was left in theater for 45 minutes until I got enough feeling back to move myself! I was disappointed because I wanted to be upstairs with my twins ... but it was a nice, homey sort of place.

I spent 3 nights in the maternity ward at City a couple of weeks ago after a fairly heavy bleed and found the nurses to be lovely - it was a very scary time for me but they all put me at ease and made me as comfortable as possible. Thankfully bubs is OK - am now at home on bedrest. Which Ob are you with, CK1?
