Need help/advice with my 4.5yr old daughter. Having behavior issues with her and she has become extremely defiant, not listening at home or school.
Heard about super granny, but she is not in Dubai at the moment and need help ASAP. Does anyone know of anyone else similar to her that will do home visits and help in disciplining my LO.
Thanks....

Hi ladies. Helen Williams (therapist often recommended on EW) and her team at Lifeworks on Al Wasl road are running parenting workshops all the time - particularly aimed at that age-group: http://www.counsellingdubai.com/parenting-education.html Best of luck !

Hiya, i am in totally the same boat! DD is 4.1years. Everything is a struggle from the minute she gets up to the minute she goes to bed. Worse with me, ok with dad. But its when im trying to get her to do anything in our normal routine its beyond challenging. Even though we have the same routine day in day out. In the meantime i have re-established our sticker chart. 6 things to work on, 2 - 3 are behavioural things that she needs to work on and 2-3 things that i know she can do everytime so she feels like she is acheiving something. Everyday her books before bed correlates to how many stickers so she is acheiving every day. Then we do something special at the end of the week if she gets 35 stickers for the week, like taking her to the movies ect (not food, an activity reward) and talk about that constantly. Started last week and have seen an improvement already, getting 4 - 5 out of 6 stickers a day. Our biggest thing is the whinging / tantruming when she dosnt get her way. We are slowely getting there. I hope this helps, just reassuring you, you are not alone!
