I made an appointment with both of them for next week, price wise they both charge the same. I am so confused on which one to go for, i know i should see them first before making up my mind, but I am so afraid to make the wrong choice again. If any of you Ladies has see both of them please give me some advise.
Thanks a lot

Dr. Fakih, of course, hands down. You might not click with him, but he's extremely knowledgeable and just knowing you're in good hands will make all the difference. After we heard about him, I decided this will be my last IVF. And it was :) So good luck ladies!

Hi Sarahbabygirl, Now that you met both doctors, who did you decide to go with in the end? I am facing the exact same dilemma! I had gone with hubby to Conceive last year & he was put off with Dr. P's comments to him so now I have to decide between my other 2 options. Would love your advise/comparison between the 2. Thanks!

I have heard that there is a big difference in the fees. Dr Fakih is suppose to be the most expensive RE around. Maybe he is worth it though so prob best to meet with both of them and decide for yourself.

I'm seeing Dr Awatif at DGFC, she is an Emirati consultant, am really happy with her. I'm just about to have egg collection on first round of IVF after 3 rounds of IUI last year. She's very caring and quite motherly as well as knowledgeable, she doesn't give you too much information unless you ask for it (which works well for us but might not suit everyone) she's also fun which makes the whole experience nicer :)

I'm seeing Dr Mohammed and in the middle of my first round of IVF (just had my egg retrieval) - started with Dr Hena (also at DGFC) for tests/consultations and switched to Dr Mohammed for the actual treatment. It's going really well so far. Good luck with everything xx Hi tubestrike - just wanted to wish you good luck and sending you lots of babydust xx

Hi sarahbabygirl Yes, I've been doing acupuncture for all cycles except the first and did notice a significant change in fragmentation etc. The problem is I'm 41 (nearly 42 now) so just getting old! I've recently found a great chinese acupuncturist, Dr Gu, in Satwa. Hi Niceedee,, Acupuncture did help be bringing my FSH level to normal one, I have heard about Dr Gu and she seems to be very good, I understood that treating infertility is her specialty. I would love to meet with some ladies going through ICSI.

I have had 6 rounds of ICSI over the past 2 years in Dubai and in Australia (2 with Conceive, 1 with Fakih, 3 with Monash IVF) all of which have been unsuccessful. I have decided to give it one last try in Dubai and met with Dr Mohammed at DGFC last week. Personally I think he is great - thorough, scientific, nice bedside manner and the first person to actually challenge what has been done over the last 2 years and suggest a complete change in protocol! I would have chosen him over Dr Fakih any time and the only reason I never met him prior was they just don't answer the phone at DGFC so this time I went there in person and got an appt for the same week! I probably won't start cycling for a couple of months but really want a sibling for my now 4 yr old daughter. Good luck with your choices and plenty of baby dust your way ladies. niceedee Thank you Niceedee for your input, I have met Dr Fakih this week and meeting Dr Mohamed in a couple of days. My choice will be based not on statics but the offered protocol as you mentioned. This will be my last try also and it has be done very soon. Will let you know how I get on with Dr Mohamed. Have you considered acupuncture??? It does help in some cases. Good luck to you too.

Consider Dr Pankaj in sharjah please! Conceive clinic. It is not that far, really. It takes max 30 min from the springs and it is totally worth it. i am now 14 weeks pregnant after my first treatment with him. He is really the best. At first we didn´t go there because of the distance but i promise you it is not that far and definetely worth it

Yeah for sure I will. This is my first time on the whole fertility cycle and although i have read tonnes I have yet to experience the treatment!! Hi Serendipity, how did your app with Dr Fakih went, would love to hear from you. Thank you Hi Sarababygirl It was ok thanks - we have decicded to go with him - he was very positive, which is good but I am a bit of a pesimist really!!! I have read so much on ICSI so I didnt have many questions then but he was very nice and said to call him if I have any questions and the nurses are just so lovely. Start treatment soon and feeling quite nervous. How is everything going with you? x Hi Serendpity, I am doing well, thank you for asking. Met with him today, he was very positive, he even went through his PP presentation telling us about our chances to conceive, will start the stimulation soon should we decide to go with him. Let me know if you want to talk, I can either email you or we can meet up for a coffee, I live in Jumeirah 1. Hi , The PP presentation sounds interesting. Speak soon You have got an email, you can remove your email addr. Speak to you soon

If any of you Ladies has see both of them please give me some advise. Thanks a lot To choose a doctor is a very personal choice IMO, so reviews of others are helpful but cannot really decide for you. I would visit all 2 (or 3) places before you decide on a doctor (the third place would be Conceive in Sharjah, if the drive to Sharjah would be ok for you). Check also if you feel comfortable with the clinic set up, the nurses, the clinic timings, check if there's a 24/7 emergency support, and if the doctor is available outside clinic hours. Best of luck. Thank you Kermi, I use to be a patient at conceive.
