Dr Ibrahim's wonderful manner doesn't stop in the consultation room. He delivered my first baby 7 weeks ago and has since operated on me to resolve some issues with my uterus post delivery. He is a truly caring and personable doctor, I would not hesitate to go back to Dr. Ibrahim should I fall pregnant again!
I am with Dr Ibrahim. This is my first pregnancy and I have been with him since I was 6 weeks pregnant. I am very happy with him and his level of care. He is very easy to talk to and listens to what you have to say. He is also very informative and I never feel silly asking him questions. Obviously I cannot comment on what he is like during delivery as I have not reached that stage yet but have no fears (Dr wise anyway) that all will be fine. So far he has listened to my points of view on everything and is happy to go with what I want - he is definitely pro natural birth which suits me perfectly.
Why don't you book an appointment with him (he is on vacation at the moment) and see what you think. I also had fears of seeing a male Dr but those fears went away in my first appointment. Hopefully your fears will disappear too.
Good Luck :)
I am seeing Dr. Ibrahim at City Hospital - first pregnancy. I was originally referred to one of the female doctors, but most were booked and not taking new patients until after my due date. In the US I always had a male OBGYN so when I transfered to his care I had no issues. I can say that he is very nice, very easy to talk with, very informative, and very respectful!! I am very pleased with his care. My DH comes to as many appointments as possible and he too comments on his level of care, friendliness and humor. The doctor has taken good care of me and baby. We are 2 1/2 weeks away from delivery and with my experience I would recommend him. Don't let the 'male' factor worry you.
Anyone been to see him? With my first baby (in the usa) i had female midwives for most of my care and a male ob, but still not sure about this. Thoughts are greatly appreciated!
